Great evening at Koola last night with our very own DJ Filterhead Bellic. Place filled up early on and was so cool..as Boo herself said....OMG these tunes just keep gettin HOTTER a SEXY HOT FRESH, sometimes PROGRESSIVE, sometimes FUNKY HOUSE SET from one of the new hottest kids on the block. DJ FILTERHEAD....

Koola and Woods event goes with a bang!

Wow what a great night :) Our first joint event with Woods - and it so is not gonna be the last! Every Thursday now at different locations in SL we'll bring together the best DJ's around for one helluva party! We started off last night with Anton Mills spinning ELECTRO house to start the night.Followed up by lovely Laureen Korhonen in her inikitable style. Our own DJ Muzeek Okey was up next with a set of FUNKY SOULFUL HOUSE. DJ Shanti Allan gave us a great set and DJ Ezio Gears finished off a fantastic night. Now all in recovery mode I hear.. its so quiet today.. think I'd better designate Fridays at Koola to be chill-out coffee time from now on. OK - I will get the jammie dodgers in too...

So it's been a busy week at Koola, taking on lots of new staff as hosts and some of the hottest DJ's around. Last night saw Trauma at Koola: Trauma shocks, rocks, and brings the house DOWN with electrifying mixes from our hottest DJs. DJ LaureenK played a set of the best DnB + Tech House from 14 to 16 pm pdt. This girl was seriously spinning some cool tunes. DJ Diamond Shelford followed LIVE in the Mix from 4-6 then the Queen of Trauma herself Eris Alexa. Find out what all the buzz is about, come check out a Real Life Club replicated in SL, and listen to damn sweet mixes produced LIVE for your ears only. You have to be there to see how great it is:)
Koola is a chilled place during the day time too - it's gotta be one of the most beautiful and relaxing sims in Second Life. Come over for a dance or just hang out overlooking the beach with a coffee or something stronger:)

A world apart - or not?
OK, so we are all familiar with the clubs, beaches, shops - good and bad, of Second Life, but what makes a club truly outstanding? A reality check, that's what. Koola Klub in the Cornwall Sim is unique - only it's not - do I make any sense? OK - I'll try to explain...

Koola Klub is a first life club in Newquay, Cornwall - in fact it's one of the most successful independent clubs in Cornwall, on both the house music scene and also for live music and top liners.

Koola Klub in Second Life is... well - it's also in Cornwall (Sim), also overlooking the beach and is a tremendously successful and atmospheric club.

In fact, the amazing thing about Koola in Second Life is that it is an EXACT copy of the first life club. As these photos show - a very talented team of SL architects and Project Managers called Scarlet Creative and headed up by Charlotte Bartlett, were engaged by Boo Rang, Cornwall Sim owner, to create the club from the original first life architect's plans. Not an easy task, these photos show how the plans were laid down over the sim and the build put together. Real life site visits were made and huge amounts of details documented in photographs and note-books.

However, it's also been an important task to capture the spirit of the club. A replica is all well and good but Koola is all about the music, the atmosphere and the people. Koola has developed a reputation for its fun and friendliness, it's hard-working gregarious staff and its first class DJ's. Couple this with the fact that we stream live from the first life club several nights a week and we have a winning formula.

Another interesting crossover too is some of a regular clubbers - regulars to both first life and Second Life in fact. Watch this space for more about this..
